UPDATED Review: My fiance and I were craving soul food and wanted to support a Black-owned Caribbean spot. Since it’s been a year since I last tried this place, I decided to give it another try. The music blared with amazing tunes, creating a club-like atmosphere. The hostess and owner, Phabio, ensured our enjoyment. Our attentive waitress, Kyla, recommended dishes and was super sweet. We ordered the Pink Barbie drink, Sunset mocktail, Oxtail Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls, Jerk Shrimp Tacos, Jerk Honey Lamb, Oxtail plate, and Mac & Cheese side. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and very Caribbean. My Haitian fiance even gave them two thumbs up- “C’est Ci Bon”. Everything tasted so good, but the Oxtails stole my heart, next time I need to try it with pikliz lol. This is now my new favorite Caribbean spot and I can’t wait to come back. If you want to support a Black owned spot, especially during Black History Month, check it out. You won’t regret it ;-) Old review below: I was sooooo excited to try this place. I came for my friend's birthday dinner and we couldn't wait to celebrate her. I saw people standing out in front (the owner/manager) and I asked if there was parking in the back he said you just have to drive around. As the owner you should have been a bit more helpful. After waiting for cars to move I finally found metered parking across the street. Inside it was a cool party vibe, music was on and people were ready to party. I noticed they had an upstairs as well as an outside back room for smoking. We first got drinks and asked to order food to which they said we couldn't order for 30 minutes because they had a private event upstairs. We were all so hungry and had a table at the club nearby so wanted to eat right away so we wouldn't be late. We complained to the owner and he apologized and they got us another round of drinks for free. But we didn't go there for drinks, we went to eat! 30 minutes went by and they said it would be a few more minutes. At that point the birthday girl was over it and we ended up going to the club where they also had food thank goodness. I was so disappointed because I really wanted to support a Black owned spot with Caribbean food, but they let me down and I will never go back. I hope they get it together sooner rather than later.

I truly love Jamaican Food. This past December I took myself out for my birthday and wanted some good Jamaican Food. Yes Party of 1. :) I called Status and made a Solo reservation. I spoke to Phabio and he said they would take care of me. The atmosphere was definitely exceeded my expectations. I was seated at a nice table and welcomed with a smile. The Oxtail Plate, with a side of plantain was FANTASTIC, good music, great service, the whole experience was a VIBE. I heard Busy Signal - Happy Birthday playing in the background as they brought out a scoop of ice cream with a candle for me. Thank you Status and I can't wait to come back to try the Brown Stew. -Blessings

Dinned in for a last min date night. Service was fast and the ambiance was nice. They are still awaiting their liquor license so our server Kyla recommended that she could put our order in and then we could go to the bar right next door. She actually came over and grabbed us once our food was served. I thought that was super sweet of her! She did above and beyond service to make sure we enjoyed our night. I got the snapper while my partner got the pepper shrimp! Both super yummy!

First let me say that Alissa R was our server and we had a large group. She did an amazing job and was very kind and patient. The atmosphere was great and food was so delicious. I ordered the Curry Pasta with Shrimp, for my son Mac & Cheese and Fried Shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor!! Will definitely be returning!!

This was hands down the best food I’ve had in a long time! We got the Honey Jerk Chicken that came with rice and cabbage! The pasta dish was a fabulous side we shared! We were stuffed but it was too good to leave any behind! The decor and lights added to the atmosphere! If you haven’t been here you must go!!!

Came here with the family. Such a cute atmosphere! Dim lighting. Cute photo ops. The service was great! No liquor but they have tasteful mocktails! Our server let us know the most ordered things were the oxtails and the lamb chops so we got both. She suggested the jerk honey sliders for the kids - which they ended up enjoying. Food came out fast. Music was good. Not too loud but loud enough. Definitely will bring the family back! Thanks Kyla for the service!

I had the Curry pasta with chicken, cabbage, oxtail eggrolls and the Pineapple Ginger Juice. Everything was amazing. The Pineapple Ginger juice was so fresh and tasty. Executive Chef, John came out and spoke with us. He is from Jamaica. The food was seasoned to perfection and tasted amazing. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
